When receiving inquiries about your rental, you will want to set aside the dates a guest has expressed interest in so that you don’t ever find yourself double-booked. Additionally, there might be times when you want potential guests to know that the rental is unavailable, whether due to maintenance or seasonal closures. Blocking time will make you a more organized rental manager and ensure that you’re never caught wondering whether a space of time is available for a guest. Tokeet makes blocking time in your calendar simple, straightforward and quick. Follow the directions below to block time in your calendar.

  1. On the main Tokeet account page, click on the “Calendar” tab on the menu on the left side of your screen.
  2. On the top-right corner of your calendar, click on the “Add” button.
  3. Select “Hold Event” from the “Add” drop down menu.
  4. Input the event name, starting and ending dates to hold, and which rental this blocked time applies to.
  5. Finally, click “Save”.

Now the timeframe requested will be set aside in your calendar and labeled effectively so that you (and your potential guests) will know why it has been blocked. Please note that only Hold Events of type Confirmed are pushed to your channels, even though all hold events appear on your calendar.
