When using Tokeet to manage your vacation rental property, you’ll often need to set aside time on your calendar to make both your own team and potential guests aware of schedule events. These events might range from pending bookings to scheduled maintenance. These hold events will be reflected on all of your calendars, including your iCal URL feed and anywhere your calendar widget appears. Follow the directions below to create a hold event for your calendar.

  1. From your Tokeet Dashboard, click on the “Calendar” menu item on the left-hand side of the page.
  2. On the top right-hand corner of your calendar click on the green “Add” button.
  3. Select “Hold Event” from the drop down menu.
  4. You will then be greeted by a dialogue which will ask you to input the event name, which rental this hold event applies to, what type of hold event this will be, the start and end date of the hold event, and when the date will expire. (Hold events are automatically deleted by the Tokeet system after their expiration date arrives.)

There are five types of hold events: Personal (marking time where the property will be reserved for personal use), Maintenance, Pending (marking bookings that are in-process), Confirmed (for confirmed bookings), and Other. Please note that only Hold Events of type Confirmed are pushed to your channels, even though all hold events appear on your calendar.
